HOW TO MAKE A COOKIE MONSTER CAKE

HOW TO MAKE A COOKIE MONSTER CAKE:

This is my nephew on his 2nd birthday! He had a home made cookie monster cake for his birthday!

1 box cake- make according to directions
2 cans of white frosting
1 tube of black decorating icing
1 bottle blue food coloring
2 one gallon zip lock sized bags

Bake cake according to box directions, in 2 round cake pans. Once cooled, frost 1 round cake in white frosting. If there's any left over save it for later. Take 3/4 of the other can of frosting and tint it as dark blue as you want to make it as close to cookie monster blue color as you want with the blue food coloring. Save the other 1/4 of the can, can put in the other can of used frosting from the first round cake, then can stir in food coloring in second can. Once well mixed so all frosting left in can is blue, put into a gallon zip lock sized bag. Cut a very small piece off of one corner of bag. Push blue frosting to that corner, make sure all air is out of the bag and bag is sealed. Put second round cake onto first frosted round cake. Dot on blue frosting out of bag, pushing the frosting out by holding bag with one hand by tip of opening and pushing at top of frosting bulge with the other slowly, onto the second cake. Take second bag, put rest of white frosting into it, get all air out, seal tightly, cut small tip of corner off, push frosting to that corner. Pushing frosting out, make circles for his eyes and do any touch ups for around the bottom of the cake that are needed. Take black icing and dot on pupils on top of white eyes and make a half moon shape for the mouth.

Now Cookie Monster is ready to be served! :) ENJOY!!!
