So this past winter I was potty training my now 3 yr old little girl. We were at a local coffee shop and she had a pee accident. I had forgotten to re pack an extra pair of pants for her from her last accident in her bag. I found socks, underwear, a shirt, and one of those child leashes that I have only used 1 time as a child leash and 1 time for this. (I generally do not like these leashes but when you end up in a rock and hard place like this it works or you go somewhere like the zoo where they want to charge an arm and leg for strollers, you don't have room with your over packed vehicle of kids and moms to bring enough of your own, and your child doesn't want to sit in one and knows how to unbuckle to get out of one, these come in handy to not lose them or have them stolen in big places). So the shirt became pants and the leash a harness to keep it on  her until we could get home. This picture is of her by the shop owner showing off her getup. We know the shop owner personally so she did not mind S showing her this in her kitchenette. :)

Pee Adventures...

On the way to the Brewer Game 7/22/13 for Scout Night Z says 'I have to pee' hubby says 'Hold it, we're almost there and we can't get off the road right now' Z starts crying he has to go so bad I ask 'Are you going to pee your pants' Z says 'Not right now but very soon'. So as I am sewing his patches onto his uniform for the parade, have no empty bottles, I take my Propel water and dump ...it out the window, cut the top off the bottle with my sewing scissors, unbuckle and jump into the back of the car, unbuckle Z and help him to get the pee into the bottle, jump back up front and dump the pee out the window. Hubby says 'You can't dump that out the window' and I say 'It's just the road, no one walks here, and I am not keeping an open bottle of pee in the car'. That was our pre adventure, adventure!

Noah's Ark discounted Tickets

Pick N Save, some credit unions, and Kwik Trip gas stations have Noah's Ark tickets on sale at a discount. So far the cheapest I have found is Kwik Trip at $29 per ticket. And 2 and under are free at the waterpark. Also Flammingo Hotel in the Dells has an outdoor pool with kiddie slide and you get 2 FREE passes for Noah's Ark per night you stay there! But be WARNED the Subway coupons for $10 off tickets does NOT apply to already discounted tickets at places selling them cheaper than the park itself. The coupons are for at the gate of the park. That is what I was told at Kwik Trip.

Tie Dyed Butterfly Craft!

Need to do easy crafts with kids without much mess??? Take a coffee filter, let kids color it with washable markers, let dry, then take a spray bottle with water and lightly spray the filter, let colors run a little, set on paper plate to dry. Pinch middle together and glue down with Elmers glue or Tacky glue onto a popsicle stick (found at Walmart or craft stores), take another stick put glue on ...it and press filter between two sticks, put paper plates on top and underneath, set on counter or table, set book on top of plate to hold sticks down in place. Let dry. Can add pipe cleaners to the top of sticks with glue and bend into shape for antennas. And you got a tie dyed butterfly. Easy and little mess for kids. Make sure if kids get markers or glue on them to wipe off right away with soap and water or baby wipes so the stain of markers doesn't set in. Can add small magnets to backs of sticks for a magnetic butterfly to display on the fridge!

FREE Mt Olympus Passes

If anyone has been to a Brewer's Game this year, the ticket stubs save them! You can use them to get FREE passes for Mt. Olympus Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells.

Why a Blog?

So why a blog? Why now? And what is this one about?
*A friend who also blogs suggested that I start a blog. And because I want to provide a place for openness and honesty about parenting. A place for ideas, deals, and advice.
*Why now? Because I know there is a lot going on in my own family's life right now that I'd like to share, maybe it will help someone else, maybe it won't but either way others will have information and some laughs on the trials and errors of parenthood. And why not share good ideas, advice, coupons, deals, and photos with others?
*What is this one about? I am sure you may have seen many other blogs about couponing, deals, advice on parenting, crafting, and such. Well that is what this one is about but all in ONE spot :) I do love all the other blogs I see, but it'd be nice to have them all in one spot so I don't have to go searching for each thing I'd like to find. I have enough going on in my life that I don't have time to sit and look for crafting ideas, cooking ideas, parenting advice or suggestions, etc in a bunch of different spots and then to filter through to find pages that the followers and admins are not nasty to one another and are honest is time consuming. And I am sure many others know what I am talking about and have the same outlook on this.

As for rules:
*No swear words allowed
*No name calling
*If you have an issue with someone or something please find a mature and nice way to say it or don't say it at all until you can find a mature and nice way to say it.
That is pretty much it. Just be respectful while still being open and honest and remember this is not a place to cast judgment but a place to just be able to feel like you can be honest and we can't do that if we are feeling judged.
Have FUN!
